What would Luna like you to know about her?
I am a licensed mental health counselor who works with individuals, couples,
and families experiencing different obstacles that can cause high levels of emotional pain and anxiety. Some negative experiences arise from ineffective communication skills, substance abuse, trauma, school problems, and others that may contribute to feelings of anxiety, depression, anger, and more. I am passionate about helping people overcome traumatic experiences they experienced in their lives.

Professional Development
I continue my professional development with the American Counseling Association, EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and the Florida Mental Health Counselor Association. Furthermore, I attend local workshops with the Mental Health Counselor Association of Palm Beach (MHCAPB), where I currently serve as the president of the association and continue to pursue the best and most current practices for my clients. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Master Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) and an EMDRIA approved consultant. I am on the faculty of the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs (HAP) faculty as a facilitator and trainer. I have a strong background in working with individuals who are struggling with substance abuse, who have experienced trauma and those with disabilities. I truly love my job and consider myself fortunate to walk aside people through their healing toward bettering their lives.

Counseling Approach
My approach to counseling pulls from several theories. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), as my main modality. I also incorporate concepts from the Polyvagal Therapy approach, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, meditation, Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)and Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR) to process traumatic event. I also incorporate motivational approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as solution-focused and self-help resources. My therapeutic approach begins with exploring thoughts and feelings in a safe, and respectful environment, where everyone can feel appreciated and heard.
I believe in providing clients with a holistic approach in improving their lives. In order to improve a lifestyle, you have to approach it from a mind, body, and spirit relationship. There is a strong relationship between these three components that affect well-being.

Goal of Therapy
The goal of therapy is to help you find balance and clarity that includes your voice, the voice of your loved ones, and one that honors each individual's hopes and dreams. I believe that change is possible and that each client has the power to learn the skills needed to better their lives. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and Hebrew.
